4 Essential Oils You Must Add to Your Morning Shower

4 Essential Oils You Must Add to Your Morning Shower
April 8, 2016 1 comment

The morning shower is, for many people, the best part of the day. It’s the twenty minutes of relaxation that comes before the long day at work. So, it’s important to take care of yourself and your skin – to prepare you for the stresses that come from daily work life. Here we have four essential oils that you simply must incorporate into your morning shower routine, and why.

#1 Lavender Oil

Lavender has been used for medicinal and care purposes for thousands of years, so it’s worth using this one. While working as a disinfectant for small cuts and scrapes, it also has a number of therapeutic uses including skin rashes; acne; insect bites, and the soothing of minor burns. A few drops of lavender oil can help soothe frayed nerves and even encourage a good night’s sleep. Feeling a little under the weather? A few drops can also aid in alleviating sinus and respiratory infections. Why not try some here?

#2 Clove Bud Oil

Clove oil has been used for centuries to help alleviate numerous dental issues from cold sores to toothache over the past thousand years or so. Some of the ailments and irritation that clove oil can help with are: athlete’s foot; fungal infections; insect bites/stings, and bruises. It can also work really well on cuts and bruises as well as ear ache. However, you should be careful using this oil with sensitive skin as it can cause some irritation. When you’re suffering from any of the above, you should definitely bring clove bud oil into your morning routine – find some here.

#3 Peppermint Oil

Peppermint is probably one of the most soothing oils. If your stomach is aching or you have sore muscles, then sampling massaging this into the affected area can really help to alleviate some of the discomfort. The aroma may also help alleviate nausea and headaches. It also has antiseptic properties, so it is worth applying some to small cuts and bruises if it’s the only oil that you have. You should definitely bring this into your morning shower routine because not only does it smell lovely, but it will also help relieve the tension in your muscles from a rough night’s sleep or a difficult day at work the previous day. Pick some up here.

#4 Avocado Oil

Avocadoes are one of the best fruits, rich in vitamins and generally good for your body. If you have dry or itchy skin, then avocado oil is just what you need. Put this into your morning shower routine and it should help soothe your skin and re-moisturise it. It can also work as an anti-aging oil, reducing the appearance of age spots while nourishing the skin for a more youthful appearance. Avocado is known for its deep skin penetration, and so it is worth nothing that if you suffer from a nasty sunburn or general skin irritation it may be worth applying some of this. Why not try some here?

It may also be worth investing in a steam shower for extra relaxation during your morning shower. A steam shower can provide great aromatherapy to work with your essential oils, creating a wonderful smell that will ultimately help you to relax, providing you with a better mind set to start the day. Steam also helps to open up your pores and cleanse them, creating a fresher feeling you.
